How much do you check the ingredients in a product before you buy it? I wasn’t really doing it until I’ve started learning about the benefits and damages of some products. IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil has some ingredients I wasn’t even aware of ingredients like Morocco glassoul clay.

I got interested in Korean skincare products when I was reading many posts about how good and effective Korean skincare products are, however, I haven’t had a chance to try them until IASO contacted me and asked me if I wanted to try out some of their bestseller products. After checking out their products and the benefits of them, I couldn’t say no to that offer. IASO is a South Korean company, which is specialised on premium skincare products and their motto is “For the young and healthy skin you deserve”. Isn’t it what we all want?

IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil Review

IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil is an oil cleanser, which claims to remove makeup (even waterproof ones), dirt and excessive oil, and also tightening the pores and removing the blackheads and dead skin. This oil is black! There are some colours, you could associate with being clean, like white. It’s the colour of purity. But how about black? Black is an elegant colour (or non existing colour), but it is not really related to being clean, actually feels the opposite. So using a black cleanser for cleaning your makeup and skin might actually feel weird. I’ve used black masks before, but not a cleanser. Of course we shouldn’t let the colours affect the way we think about a product, right? Let’s it is interesting…

Let’s talk about the ingredients first. I don’t have much knowledge about the ingredients, but a few searches can give you some information. IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil has Morocco Ghassoul clay (good at oil absorption), blue chamomile (pore tightening) and moringa seed oil& 7 flower extracts (lotus, rose, jasmine, daffodil, madonna lily, iris and freesia) for cleaning up the dusts and allergens. If you want to learn more about the ingredients, I would highly suggest you to check out IASO’s webpage, they explain everything in details, which I must say I am really impressed.

IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil is an oil cleanser, which you can use to remove your makeup and also clean your skin. I mostly use it for removing my makeup, then use my cleanser. Whenever I have minimal makeup (mascara and eyeliner), one pump is enough but other times 2-3 pumps will clean your makeup and skin properly. Also, you won’t have panda eyes the next morning. Even though it is an oil, it doesn’t really feel like one. It feels like a water based oil and it is really easy to wash up with warm or cold water.

I haven’t used it enough to say anything about tightening the pores effect, but I can say some about the blackheads. I tend to get small blackheads around my chin area and since I’ve started using it I have seen some improvement. I have sensitive eyes, even micellar waters burn my eyes from time to time, IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil burns my eyes too. I still couldn’t find a cleanser, which won’t do that so I’m fine with it as long as it is not a lot. This is probably just me!

When it comes to skincare products, I prefer fragrance-free products. However, nowadays it is not that easy to find these kinds of products, also this one has fragrance. It is a mix of all the elements (probably the flower extracts), but once you wash your face, it fades away, which is good. I still couldn’t pin point this scent, but it is not sweet but more like a clean and floral scent.

I will keep on using it to see if its claims are true. So far I like how my skin feels after cleaning it, and it is good to see some improvement on blackheads. Even if it wouldn’t make any improvements on tightening the pores, it is a good cleansing oil and I would recommend it.
