October Favourites 2015

October Favourites 2015

Another month is over and we are not so far away from a new year, new possibilities and new resolutions. Last month has been quite a month for me, so many things had to change just in a short time and there are so many unknown things to be solved. However, here are my October Favourites…

My October Favourites 2015

Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa Butter

I tried to use different products all the time, just to discover old ones and test out the new ones, so I don’t really have many favourites. Let’s start with an essential for these cold days. Vaseline Lip Therapy with Cocoa Butter has been in my life for so long and I don’t know what I would do without it. Whenever it gets cold this is the base product I use for my lips, otherwise they get so dry. It is definitely a saviour and it will keep your lips so soft all the time.

Rimmel London Supercurler Mascara

Rimmel London Supercurler Mascara is a new addition to my makeup bag. In order to test it, I’ve been using it a lot recently and I love it. I like the curled brush and there’s no clumps, which is great. I will probably be talking about it in details in the future.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr in Metallic Pomegranate  is one of my favourite from this range and it is a perfect Autumn shade. When I know I will have a long day without having time to refresh my makeup, this is what I like to use. It is long lasting and it looks so nice with tiny glitters in it. You can read more about this product in my post Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr.

8×4 Hollywood Perfume Deodorant

I love using perfumes, but sometimes when I don’t have a lot to do I prefer not to wear my perfumes, instead I use deodorants. I got 8×4 Hollywood perfume deodorant and it is such a nice cold day scent. Blueberry scent with mix of woody musk makes a perfect scent and even though it is a deodorant, it is such a long lasting one.

Essence Oil Control Paper

My last October favourite is a new thing for me, it is an oil control paper. Essence oil control paper was given for free when I purchased something and I wasn’t really sure about using them. However, I like how it absorbs the oil and makes my skin matte without removing my makeup. You should give it a try!

These are the products I was using a lot in October, have you used any of these? What are your October favourites?

5 Autumn Essentials
Let's Talk False Eye Lashes
  • I’ve seen the Rimmel Mascara advertised so many times in the UK and have been so tempted to get it but haven’t really read any reviews on it. So I can’t wait for your post on it, although you’re view on it in this post is making me want it already haha ♥
    tipscapsule.blogspot.com

    • I just couldn’t resist the look of the brush and got it, so far I am loving it 🙂 xx

  • I love Essence products so I would definitely give the oil control paper a go! And that Maybelline color tattoo shade looks so good! I’ve heard the best things about these color tattoos but I’ve never actually tried them, I probably should!

    I love your blog! It’s definitely a must-follow.

    lina-khalifa.blogspot.com

    • Maybelline color tattoo is so good and they have so many pretty shades, you should definitely check them out.
      Thank you 🙂 xx

  • That Rimmel mascara will be a favorite too for mascara addicts like me..
Would love to try this one and hope I remember it once I’m at the shop. Thanks for sharing your last month’s most loved items, Ela! Have a lovely day!

    Xoxo,

I absolutely love the blotting paper from essence and it is a staple in my daily makeup bag. Great post, lovely products!

    • They are really good, I didn’t think I’d like them that much 🙂

  • I never really got into blotting paper, I usually use a paper towel if I need to blot. Maybe I am missing out here, but I think that works really well without taking off my makeup.

    Linda,
Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking

    • It is the first blotting paper I own (it was given for free so just wanted to give it a try), I’ve always used a paper towel and most of the time I forgot about my makeup and wiped it all off, it is annoying.

      • That really is annoying, happened to me a lot too. How do they compare to the paper towel? Are they worth investing?

        • It is really thin paper and ff you gently press it on your skin, it hardly removes any makeup but the excessive oil. With paper towels, cotton always remove some makeup no matter how I do it. essence is cheap, so maybe you can give it a try without paying so much on it.

          • I will see if I spot it somewhere around. Toilet paper is great at just getting the oil, works much better than cotton.

  • Ivana Džidić

this mascara seems really nice….and I need that oil control paper!

    http://modaodaradosti.blogspot.ba/

  • I love oil blotting papers, I haven’t tried any besides the boscia ones. I’ll have to give the essence ones a try.

Kelly // Perfect Shade of Mauve

    • This is the first blotting papers I’ve tried, I seem to like them now.

  • Ooh definitely need to try out that mascara. I was in the market for a new one too!

    Enclothed Cognition

    • It seems like a good mascara, you should check it out 🙂

  • This deodorant sounds pretty cool, never heard of this brand before and I always keep blotting paper to hand, it’s an absolute life saver x

    franklyflawless.com

    • I guess it is a German brand, I like how long lasting it is. I am loving blotting papers too, they are definitely a life saver especially for girls with oily skin 🙂 xx

  • I’ve been looking for blotting paper for a while. Thanks for mentioning this one, I will have a closer look at it. 🙂

  • I really need to stock up on the vaseline. My lips get really dry in the winter.

    http://www.mydailywear.co.uk

    • Vaseline is great for dry lips, I use it everyday 🙂

  • Blotting paper is a life-saver! I normally use KIKO’s, but I bet these from Essence are even cheaper, I’ll check them out.
    Have a great week, Ela!

  • I’ve had a nose at the rimmel mascara in boots but haven’t tried it yet, so tempted too! xx

  • i’ve always been interested in the color tattoo eyeshadow! looks great!

love the blog too, girl! if you get the chance i’d love for you to check out my blog and let me know what you think! (maybe even follow? no pressure though!)

hope you have a wonderful week. 🙂

    love, rach.

    So, hi.

    • Color tattoo eyeshadows are really good, I like them.
      Have a great week 🙂

  • I forgot how much I used to love blotting papers until you mentioned it as a favourite! They are great instead of powdering if you get oily as sometimes that can make my makeup look a little cakey!

    Danielle’s Beauty Blog

    • Totally agree with you! Sometimes I just can’t be bothered to powder so blotting papers come handy 🙂

  • I’ve been wanting to try that Rimmel mascara, great picks!

    http://www.mintnotion.com

  • Love love Maybelline’s pomegranate too! It’s probably my most wear eye shadow last month.

    • It is a new release, I guess it was released in September. I am loving the curled brush!

  • Love all of these picks – got to love vaseline, it’s great as lip balm, cuticle balm, eyebrow tamer and even a highlighter along the cheekbones! 🙂

  • I haven’t used vaseline on my lips in a long time, I am a Luca’s paw paw convert, haha! But I think the products are very similar – perfect for dry lips!

    Away From The Blue Blog

    • I haven’t tried it, I guess it is not available everywhere 🙁

      • You can get it on Netaporter but it’s crazily marked up (6 or 7 times the price here). I guess the price is cheaper here as it’s made in Brisbane so doesn’t have far to travel 😉

  • Emily

I’m with you on the color tattoo eyeshadows! They have such a great range of colours and they are incredibly pigmented. So easy to pop into your handbag too! And well Vaseline is just a must have really!

    Musings & More

    • They are pigmented and for a cream eyeshadow, they are really long lasting.

  • The Maybelline Color Tattoo’s are absolute gem’s for a quick one shade base and they last so well and look amazing! 🙂 x

  • I am obsessing with the Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo shadows! I really love using the Creamy Beige shade as an everyday color, but now I really need the Metallic Pomegranate shade!

    xo Tiffany | tiffanymay.org

    • I don’t have it, it is a pretty shade and definitely an everyday colour. I will need to check it out! x

  • I’ve heard so much about the colour tattoo eye shadows! I still haven’t got around to trying them myself but definitely need too! I also use Vaseline all the time, ha,ha! xx

    Jenny | Krystel Couture

    • You should check them out, they are really good! I use Vaseline day and night, all the time 🙂 x

  • I adore color tattoo range and have 6 of them which of course, in my makeup graveyard because I’m more into eyeshadow pencils. Definitely need to dig them out again because I love them! How does the mascara fare in terms of holding up the curl? That’s my biggest issue with my pathetic poker straight lashes. 🙁

    Shireen | Reflection of Sanity

    • Eyeshadow pencils are quicker. I am a fan of color tattoo, I have oily eyelids and these ones don’t get creased easily which I really like. Today I used the mascara without curling my lashes, I have straight lashes too(I hate it). I only applied a coat of mascara and it looked like it gave some curl which lasted whole day. I will see how it will be without curling and two coats of mascara.

  • Andrea jueong

Wow,I’m not familiar with the color tattoo, but it sounds amazing and I’ll have to try it! I love Vaseline especially in fall.

  • I really love the color of the cream eye shadow! I just took a look at your review and I think I’m going to get this one. I have two of their cream shadows that are really bold in color; the blue and orange. I just can’t seem to avoid anything extremely colorful, no matter what it is, haha! This color is perfect for fall, though!

Thanks for sharing your favorites, beautiful! I hope you have an amazing start to your November 🙂
