Olay Total Effects 7 in 1

Olay Total Effects

As the season changes, my skincare routine changes too. I can’t use my regular creams and expect my skin to look all healthy, so I prefer using really moisturising products that would also keep my skin hydrated like Olay Total Effects 7 in 1. Even though I have combination/oily skin, my skin tends to get dry bits, but also still feels, oily if that makes any sense. Applying makeup is such a big problem then.

Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Anti-Ageing Firming Moisturiser Night Cream

I’ve been a fan of Olay products for so long. I guess it was one of the first skincare brands that I purchased. I’ve been using Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Anti-Ageing Firming Moisturiser Night Cream for some years now (especially during this colder season then I know in the morning that at the end of the day my skin still will be soft) and it is one of the products that I keep repurchasing.

It contains Vitamin B3, E and C , which I really like. Also, it doesn’t have thick consistency, so once I use it, my skin absorbs it straight away (as how it claims to be) and it gives a really soft and smooth skin. In the mornings, I can see a healthy looking skin with a radiant look and I could feel the softness it gives. It is a really light cream and it doesn’t weigh on your face, which is good for people who have oily skin like me. I can’t really tell much about the anti-aging effect of it, but people always says I look much younger than I really am. Maybe it has something to do with this product. However, it really helps the skin to survive from colder seasons. You don’t need a big amount of cream, a tiny drop of it can help you moisturise your skin so well.  It is lightly scented so it is also ideal for people who don’t like heavy scented moisturisers.

Olay Total Effects 7 in 1

Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Touch of Foundation Moisturiser

Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Touch of Foundation Moisturiser in Fair  is the another cream I like using in the cold mornings (These creams make my skin shiny if I use them in warmer seasons). It is tinted moisturiser which I am a fan of and it gives a light coverage. You can go out like that when you want some colour on your face but nothing more or you could easily use it as a base to your makeup. Like the night cream, it is absorbed quickly and leaves a really soft finish. I like how my skin feels afterwards. Using these two products together makes such difference on my skin, it looks healthy and I don’t really have dry patches then. Also it has SPF 15 so your skin will be protected from the sun too.

Bottle has a pump so it is more hygienic and easy however I don’t like the packaging. It is hard to tell how much product left in the bottle. You just have to keep checking how light it gets, except that one day you might be disappointed when it runs out.

Have you tried any of products from Olay Total Effects range? Which skincare products do you use in colder days? If you are interested, there is another skincare product I can recommend, which you can read more about in my post The Body Shop Vitamin E Sorbet.

never used this Olay moisturiser foundation, it looks like a great product….

    great review, babe

    • It is really good, it gives such a nice colour to the face. xx

  • I’m such a fan of olay total effects product

It really gives an amazing effect and proven as for me.

Yeahhh, the bottle doesn’t show when it’s almost up.

  • I’ve seen it a lot on stores and some of my friends are using it with positive results. As far as I can remember, I used this product for just a few days before and gave it to my mom instead, well that was years ago and I can’t remember why I just gave it to her hihi

And Ela, don’t worry much, you’ll get married eventually and that’s what counts. Remember that worries steals your beautiful glow hihi, cheer up and good luck on the wedding!

Yeah I hope so too, it is really hard and I don’t really know what to do! Thank you so much xx

  • Your wedding postponed? Such a nightmare! All the planning and organization! I van totally understand you had no time to think about anything else. I hope everything resolves.

Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking

    • It is a nightmare, having to cancel all the bookings (venues, photographer and so on) and the flights (which apparently I can’t because of getting promotion ones). I just hate it and I don’t know when the paper work will be sorted. I am still waiting and I feel gutted that it has to be postponed.

      • So sorry! As if organizing a wedding across hundreds of kilometers wouldn’t be stressful enough already.

  • I love your review about this product, i wanna try it as soon is possible!

  • Kay (shoesandglitter)

Oh no, shame about your wedding being postponed. 🙁 I’m sure it will all work out for you in the end! <3 Great review, I love Olay products, particularly their moisturisers! 🙂 <3

    • Olay is such a good brand, I really like their products 🙂 <3

  • I haven’t been using the Olay Total Effect Moisturiser range for a while now but I must admit when i did I thought it was a fabulous product. It’s a nourishing product and in terms of price and availability it is also really good plus i think it works wonders- perhaps i should revisit it again! xx

    • I just like how soft my skin feels after using it and I know that my skin is well moisturised. xx

  • Both the foundation version and the normal moisturiser sounds amazing! I’ve seen a lot of adverts on them but I wasn’t really sure about that, but this post is really informative. I might check them out 🙂

    Velvet Blush

    • They are really good. I like how soft my skin feels after using both of them 🙂

  • Emily

I love tinted moisturisers, so good to have a light coverage for days when you don’t need lots of make up and to know it’s doing your skin good too! I’ve seen Olay around a lot but I think they seem to have an older target audience so have never properly had a look!

    Musings & More

    • I also thought that too however after giving it a try, I just couldn’t stop using it.

  • Love the look of this although I have sensitive skin so not sure I could use it. I’m currently trying out a new Vichy cream which is nice. Sorry to hear about the wedding being delayed! How stressful. Gemma xx

    • It is really stressful having to cancel all the arrangements, hopefully soon we will get a new date 🙁 I like Vichy products, they are really good xx

      • I bet it is! Fingers crossed for you to get a new date soon. Have a lovely day! Gemma xx

  • This sounds lovely! I really must check them out again! They are good!

  • I’ve never tried anything from Olay but I like this products’s promises! ( It sounds completely normal to me to have dry areas at the same time as a combination/oily skin, especially at this time of the year)

    • Is is really annoying, isn’t it? I just have to scrub my face in order to get rid of all these dry bits.

    This product looks great!

  • I’ve never tried this but some of my earliest memories are of my mother using Olay. I think I (stupidly) experimented with some of her Olay products when I was 13 and sadly my skin had an awful reaction to it. Otherwise I would have been on this brand much, much sooner.

    • You were a naughty kid then 🙂 So far I really like the products I used from Olay, I hope it goes that way 🙂 xx

  • I should try this product, thank you for the information. I have really dry skin during the winter, maybe this will help me. Great post!

    • It gives such a great moisture to skin, you should give it a try.

  • I’ve never tried any products from this range, but they sound really good!
I’m sorry to hear about your wedding, paperwork and bureaucracy can drive people nuts sometimes. But hang in there, I’m sure you’ll figure everything out. 🙂

    • I like this range so far, my skin feels so soft all the time 🙂
We had to postpone everything *sigh*, now I don’t know when the wedding will be as we still haven’t heard anything.

  • Ellie Adams

Ooh I love the sound of this, I’m actually a big fan of Olay (passed on from my Nan years ago!) so I definitely need to try this out. P.S so sorry to hear about your wedding news, fingers crossed everything works out for you!

    • I really like how my skin feels after using them, they are really good 🙂 xx

  • I’ve heard so much about the Olay brand but I’ve never really given anything a try! I will have to check it out for sure 🙂

    • Just give it a try, they have some great products 🙂 xx

  • I have never tried Olay skincare. I hope everything with the wedding goes okay! I know how stressful that can be…

  • Sounds fantastic – I use a night cream but maybe I’ll try this one when it runs out

    Jenn | jenniferjayne.blogspot.co.uk

  • I hope wedding goes nice and you don’t have to postpone it! I’ve never tried anything by Olay, but recently I’ve been reading lots of posts about the brand and most of them had a nice thing to say about their products! In particular, I’ve heard many products that have worked for people dealing with acne, so maybe I’ll try those.
Nice review! Have an amazing day, Ela! xx

    • Olay has some great products and you should definitely check it out. These ones are perfect for colder months (I have oily skin) and I know my skin is well protected 🙂
Have a lovely evening, Selena xx

  • Such a great review, Ela! I used to use this moisturizer for years and switched to a different brand, but now you’re tempting me to rediscover this one! I hope you have a fantastic day and start to your week, girlie!

    • They are really good 🙂 Have an amazing day, Jalisa xx

  • I used Olay Total Effect 7in1 when I hit 20 and continued to used it until I was in my 30s. I quit using it because of blogging, I get to test so many other skincare products but for a long time, I relied on it. And I strongly believe it’s also the reason why my skin is in a great condition and I have little lines and wrinkles.

ps: Sorry about the complications on paperwork, I know how tough and frustrating it can be. It was the same when my husband and I got married, lots of paperwork because he’s Canadian and I’m Malaysian and we got married in Malaysia. Hang in there, hopefully everything will go smoothly for the both of you. xx

    Shireen | Reflection of Sanity

    • Your skin looks perfect so now I know one of the reasons of it 🙂 I am only a few months away from being 30 so I don’t want to have many wrinkles *fingers crossed*
We had to postpone everything, it is really frustrating. My fiance is German and I am Turkish so I had to apply for the visa, because of all these refugee crises, they search for a tiny reason to reject everything. Now I am still waiting and I don’t know what’s gonna happen and I don’t know when the wedding will be. xx

      • Oh dear, I completely forgotten about the refugee crisis but it makes complete sense that they are scrutinizing everything tighter than before. I hope things will get settled soon, I can only imagine how frustrating it is for the both of you. Hugs!

        • It is really bad. Everything was arranged since June and now postponing everything is also just waste of money, especially the flights of many. I really hope to find out about it soon. xx

  • I have never tried a tinted moisturizer before but it sounds fantastic. My skin is quite dry in the colder months so this sounds like a great product to use!

    • It works good on my skin so it might also be good for you 🙂

  • I would love to try an Olay product, I’ve seen so many great reviews! 🙂

  • The night moisturiser sounds really good! My skin freaks out in winter so I might give this a try! I’m currently loving The Body Shop vitamin E night time moisturiser and the body shop serum in oil – they keep my skin hydrated without making it oily Great post 🙂

    • Vitamin E range is great, I haven’t tried the night cream but the serum is really good. It is hard to find an oil that won’t make the skin oily and it is one of them 🙂 xx
