February is over (like 28 days aren’t enough, it was 29 days), which means we are getting closer to Spring and longer days instead of longer nights. Even though I love the cold days of Autumn, Winter is my least favourite season, so I am happy that it will be over soon. What’s your favourite season? A mixed February favourites is here…

February was so slow and boring until the last week, where my lovely fiancé surprised me on our 3rd year anniversary. It was such a shock seeing him. He should have been 2115 miles away from me, but instead he was standing in front of me after leaving work. Even though he visited me for only 4 days, it was still the best anniversary ever! So it is definitely my favourite bit of February!

These are my February Favourites 2016

Swarovski Duo Star Set

I received this Swarovski set as a birthday present and I’ve been wearing it a lot since then. It has been definitely most worn jewellery of February. I love how simple and pretty they look.

MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush

I never bought a birthday present to myself before, but since I entered the big 3-0 this year I thought it was time to change that and I got MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Peachykeen. I will not talk in details as I already posted a review of it, but this blush is beautiful! It gives such a nice colour and glow to the skin, so even when I don’t feel 100%, it makes me look more alive. Do you buy yourself a birthday gift?

Maybelline The Colossal Kajal Eyeliner Pencil

In colder days, I don’t mind using pencil instead of my regular eyeliner. Also, trying to get your eyeliner perfect at 6 am in the morning is really hard, I end up spending at least 5 minutes to get it look “ok”. When I have limited time to get ready, I’ve been using this pencil to tightline and even apply it as an eyeliner. It is pigmented and it doesn’t smudge easily. Also, no sharpening is required, which is great!

IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil

Cleansing oils are my favourites in Autumn/Winter. I know they will be gentle to my skin and give enough moisture to keep it healthy. I’ve been using IASO Ghassoul Black Cleansing Oil quite a lot and it cleans my makeup properly (no panda eyes next day, I mean it!) without wiping of the natural oils of my skin.

Fast Dry Top Coat

I don’t know why I haven’t tried fast dry top coat before. Everyone is talking how good and effective they are and I was using traditional ways of drying my nail polish (waiting/blowing or just using cold water). I’ve been using it since I got it, it saves me so much time. How do you dry your nail polish?

The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter

I haven’t had that bad dry skin before. If I go a day without applying some sort of moisturiser or lotion, then my skin gets so dry. I’ve finished a few lotions and Moringa Body Butter from The Body Shop has been the most effective one. It makes everything so soft and even if I don’t reapply it, my skin doesn’t get bad. If you struggle with dry skin and don’t mind having long lasting scented product then I’d highly recommend it.

This is the end of my February Favourites. What have you been enjoying lately? Do you have any plans for March?

  • February for me was too quite slow after that amazing January I spent in London. But your fiancé was so amazing to surprise you like that! So sweet of him! <3 I need to try that top coat. I have one from Essie and it's pretty good and dries fairly fast, but I still somehow manage to mess my nail polish up everytime 😀
Happy start of March, let's hope spring arrives soon <3

  • I love the color of that blush! So pretty! What a nice surprise from your fiancé!!! Thats so sweet!

  • Christine K

Great selection! I have the swarovski bangle but with the evil eye instead – it seems to be the only thing I’m wearing these days! Understated and simple.

    • Evil eye one is pretty too, I have a few evil eye pieces which I love.

  • The MAC blush is gorgeous, I have that shade but I haven’t used it in so long – thanks for reminding me! Lately I’ve been loving the benefit roller lash.

    Perfect Shade of Mauve

    • Peachykeen is a pretty shade, I’ll be using it a lot in Spring/Summer.

  • Awww your other half is too cute. I love the look of the swarovski set, it is simple yet stunning 🙂

  • The blush from Mac is just perfect! and I didn’t know about that eyeliner from maybelline, I’ve to try it!

  • Oh what a wonderful surprise for your anniversary, that sounds so sweet! 🙂

I really need to get a fast dry top coat! I’ve heard good things about the OPI one, just haven’t gotten around to buying it yet. I’m looking forward to painting my nails again post baby but suspect it will be too difficult to do so without some help drying them, haha!

    Away From The Blue Blog

    • It was the best surprise ever 🙂
I didn’t think fast dry top coats work properly, but they do. I wish I had started using them earlier. You definitely need it, you won’t have so much time for pampering 🙂

  • That mac blush seems pretty nice.
It’s so sweet of your fiance.
Have a great anniv both of you.

    Have a great day!

  • My plans for March involve Peanut and to big family birthdays, not much else, to be honest. Oh, and quick drying top coats are a must, I don’t know how i could have lived without one!

Linda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking

    • I am sure everyone is excited about Peanut, he should arrive soon. Have you decided on the name yet?

      • Yes, we have picked the name in December, so all that is needed now is baby boy making his appearance. He is overdue!

        • How many days? Do you have cramps? I hope he will arrive in a few days!

          • Two days late. And I am having a few contractions every now and again, but not the real deal and nothing I´d need to go to the hospital. It has been like this on and off for two weeks now. I figured he´d be here early, because he is the second and my daughter was one week early, but I was wrong…

          • Uh, I thought second baby is easier than the first born. Mum told me that she gave birth to me as soon as she went to the hospital (second born) and it wasn’t that way with my brother. Fingers crossed, I hope he makes a move tomorrow!

          • He did, actually. And it was all evry quick, so no complaints.

  • Aww that’s so sweet of him to come back and surprise you! The jewellery is gorgeous, the simplicity makes it even more beautiful. I’m just going through the motions with school… kind of don’t want Spring to come because that means I’m closer to being done, but at the same time I could go for some warmer weather!

    • Whenever it was spring time, I had zero motivation for studying and doing any assignments so I actually looked forward school to be over.

  • Nadia

Absolutely love your favourites, hon! And what a man you have, sweetie 🙂 That is so sweet of him to do that. We did 3 years of a long distance relationship, 1 year of that we were engaged and another 4 months married. While everyone was telling me it wasn’t going to work because it’s long distance (clearly people don’t know what it’s like to find “the one”) we were going stronger than ever. Worst experience ever though was when we had to leave NYC on two different planes after our honeymoon!! It was heartbreaking, I cried non stop (like, proper wailing and howling – it just hurt too much). It all means nothing when you are together again. I hope you will get all the documents sorted, get married and move very soon, sweetie. Sending lots of love your way
    xox Nadia

    • Even though we have been together for 3 years, we have been in a long distance for 2 years. There were so many people saying it won’t work because of longdistance and different cultures and so on, but we’ve proven them wrong.
That’s so sad that you had to leave each other after the honeymoon 🙁 After the wedding we will be separated for some months too until I sort out my visa and all other things, it sucks.
Paperwork is sorted on Friday, so I’ll be getting married on 7th of May! Still can’t believe it 🙂
Thank you so much for your support, you’re so sweet! x

  • I love Spring! And I can’t tell you how happy I am that winter is finally over! Loving your favorites. I need to try this Maybelline eyeliner, I saw it the other day but didn’t buy it. Also, it’s so sweet of your man to do this to you! I can imagine how happy you were 🙂

    -Leta | The Nerdy Me

    • Flowers and warm weather are what I am looking for! 🙂

  • Lovely favourites! I rarely wear top coat on my nails, but if the Fast Dry top coat actually makes it quicker for the nail polish to dry, that’s interesting! It’s so annoying to wait until nail polish dries, especially with older and thicker polishes. And of course, your Swarovsky set is gorgeous.
Winter is also my least favourite season, Christmas is cool but after all the end of year festivities it should just turn to spring directly! Your fiancé organised the sweetest surprise, it’s great that you got to spend time with him to celebrate your anniversary! 😀

    Julia x | http://www.juliaspeaksbeauty.blogspot.fr

    • Fast dry coat actually works, I am so impressed! You should definitely give it a try 🙂 x

  • That’s a great list of favourites. Ela! I never use fast dry top coat before but I use Seche Vite and then Essence Express Dry Drop on top and it dries out my manicure in seconds.
