We should appreciate the person who came up with an eyeshadow stick idea! They are lazy girls’ best friends; they are so easy to apply if you are in hurry. There are so many on the market, some are really good and some are really disappointing. How about KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow?

Ela’s KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick Review

KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow was the first product I’ve tried from KIKO. I hardly knew anything about the brand and this eyeshadow stick except the reviews I read online. I never had the best luck with cream eyeshadows, so it was a tricky decision to order it, but I am glad that I did!

KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 04 Golden Chocolate is a warm chocolate brown with golden gold sparkles or I can even say gold glitters. These shimmers/glitters change the brown colour into a something really pretty, when the sun hits your face you see them shining. This shade is ideal for brown smoky eye makeup, I also apply it on my bottom lash line, it really looks pretty! I like neutral/brown shades on my eye makeup, so if you are the same then I am sure you will like it too.

I was never a fan of cream eyeshadows before, because of having oily eyelids. If you have oily eyelids too then you will know the struggle of finding a cream eyeshadow, which will actually last on your eyes without creasing or fading away. After trying KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow, I start to believe that there are really good cream eyeshadows for people with oily eyelids too. They are supposed to last up to 8 hours, which is really good! This eyeshadow actually stays on for hours without creasing and budging. Isn’t it great?

The formula of these eyeshadows is really impressive; it is soft, creamy and pigmented. Whether you use your fingers or a fluffy blending brush, they are easy to apply and really blendable. Depending on how intense you want your eye makeup, you can just build it up easily, but you have to be quick at applying/blending it, it sets so fast that you won’t be able to budge it afterwards!

The packaging is a good one too. It comes in a black sleek packaging and the colour of the eyeshadow is shown on the back of the stick. All you need to do is twist it up and apply it, then you are ready to go!

Kiko Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 04 Golden Chocolate Review and swatch

They are said to be the dupes of By Terry Ombre Black Star Eyeshadows (texture and colour wise), however, since I haven’t tried By Terry ones (I’m not sure if I would want to pay £29 for an eyeshadow stick) I can’t say anything about it. After a few Google searches, I can confirm that they almost look the same, so a good job KIKO!

It is on sale now and it is more than half the price, if I were you I wouldn’t miss that chance and grab a few shades on the KIKO website! These cream eyeshadow sticks have one of the best quality and I am really amazed with the end result. 37 Burgundy, 39 Dark taupe or maybe other shades, there are many different shades and they all look so pretty!

Have you tried any KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow? If so, which colour is your favourite?

    Melanie | Lilies Beauty

    • You should definitely try them out, they are really good:) x

  • These are great! I think 05 Rosy Brown and 06 Golden Brown are very pretty shades for neutral lovers, too! Whenever I’m in a hurry, I apply 06 (which is the one that looks best on me, I think) all over the mobile lid straight from the stick and then blend it out in the crease with a fluffy brush. I also apply some on the lower lashline and it all takes me about a minute.
They do last all day on me (even more than 8 hours on top of primer), but, despite having oily skin, I don’t have oily lids, so most eyeshadows last well on me.

    • Most shadows don’t last on me because of oily lids, especially cream eyeshadows. I’m happy that I can rely on these ones.

  • I love eyeshadows sticks but have yet to try anything from Kiko. I would love to be able to get to a Kiko store so that I could swatch some & then have a splurge. This colour looks so pretty! xx

    • I haven’t had a chance to visit the store yet, I’m sure I’d pick up many things if I went there 🙂 x

  • Eyeshadow sticks are so wonderfully easy if you’re in a rush! I absolutely love them. This color seems so gorgeous. Would love to give Kiko a try!

    • Totally agree with you, they are really easy to use. If you have a chance, definitely give Kiko products a try.

  • Great review! I really like those ones, they are probably the ones I reach for the most even though I personally need a primer underneath!

    • I am really bad at using primers, I hardly use any but I’m sure it would be even more lasting with a primer.

  • Love these sticks, I have 37, 38 and 39. I might pick up a few others as well on the sales.

  • I will join in: Let´s appreciate the person that invented eyeshadow sticks, they are such a great invention! I haven’t tried the ones from Kiko yet, but I love eyeshadow sticks, so it might be that I will pick up some in the near future.

    • Before this one, I really hated sticks. Luckily this one turned out to be a good one, I want to pick up a few more shaded.

  • That shade is the prettiest ever! <3 😀 Love love love it! I'll have to go shopping today haha. But I've also been interested in the By Terry ones, they do a really beautiful golden shade, which sounds lovely.
Have a lovely week gorgeous and thanks for the great review <3

  • I have a few of these and I love them, as you have said they are so easy to apply and make it look like you have put more effort into your eyeshadow then you really have 🙂

    Pams Stuff and Things

    • Perfect for early morning 🙂 at least I can look decent without spending so much time:)

  • Wow, this seems to be a good eyeshadow stick! I’ve only tried the Maybelline Colorband before and the formula is too dry to actually be pleasant to use, and it is quite hard to blend out as well. This Kiko product seems to be a nice alternative, especially if they’re dupe for the By Terry sticks! I’ll go and swatch them in the shop. Thanks for sharing 😀

  • I could never bring myself to spend that much on an eyeshadow stick either! I would much rather get a lovely highend foundation or concealer!! Great review Ela, I picked up a couple of these last year and I agree, they’re fantastic for busy mornings when you don’t have time to pick up a palette and brushes but you also want your eyes to have a bit more character than the dark circles there already!
