I’ve always been a big fan of Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara and always kept going back to it. Also, I prefer it over to most of the high-end mascaras I’ve tried. When I saw Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum being advertised on Maybelline’s Instagram (which mentioned it is Amazon UK exclusive) I had to get my hands on it. Also, £14.95 is a good deal for an eyelash serum as most of the eyelash serums are way expensive than that. Also if it is as good as the mascara then it will definitely be a part of my everyday routine.

Before I ordered Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum I done a little bit of research, however, I couldn’t find any post or detailed information rather than a generic company product description. Let’s see how that gamble will pay off.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum with arginine and pro-vitamin B5 aims to give fuller and thicker looking lashes in just 4 weeks (when worn with mascara). 90% overall lash improvement, 8 weeks clinical study was conducted with 32 people. I’m not sure how accurate the research results are, however, sounds promising, doesn’t it?

Since I have been using the serum for over a week now, I thought it would be good to write the first impressions and then carry on using to see the long-term effects. After the first week, I haven’t noticed any visible changes, my eyelashes still look the same. I think it is too early to see the results. Let’s get to the main topic now…

Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum

How to use it?

You should apply the serum twice a day, morning and the night, to the bare lashes. If you want to apply a mascara afterwards, just wait for it to dry first. I usually wait around a minute to make sure my lashes are dry then apply any preferred mascara. I aim the roots of the lashes. Due to the soft cottony wand, it is not as straightforward as applying mascara, however, after a few attempts, it gets easier.

Recommended time?

You’re recommended to use it at least 4 weeks for fuller and thicker looking lashes. Bear in mind that the result is with the mascara, but I still expect to see my lashes get thicker.

Consistency?

It has a really lightweight consistency, it is more like a light serum and it doesn’t have sticky consistency. Once the serum dries, you don’t feel any heavy feeling and it doesn’t leave any residues.

Wand?

It has a soft cotton wand, which is not similar to any other wand I used. It is claimed that the cotton wand coats the lashes evenly. I’m still not sure about the wand as I find it quite hard to use and I wonder if it actually coats the lashes.

Smell Test

I could say it is fragrance-free and it doesn’t sting the eyes. Also, it doesn’t burn the eyes. I poked my eyes a few times and it didn’t cause any discomfort whatsoever.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Boosting Serum with arginine and pro-vitamin B5 aims to give fuller and thicker looking lashes in just 4 weeks. First impression review

As I mentioned earlier, it is too early to see the results so I will carry on using it twice a day for 4 to 8 weeks then I will write another post with the results, hopefully, that post will have before and after photos as well. I hope that serum lengthens my lashes ad give them some thickness.
