Fresh fruits and hot weather, it is the perfect time for a refreshing smoothie, don’t you think so? If you want something light for breakfast or something after workout then it is a perfect choice for you. Strawberry banana smoothie is filling and tastes so good. To make it even tastier, how about topping it up with some Piña Colada smoothie?

I am a proper breakfast person, however, once in awhile it is good to have a change and skip breakfast for something lighter. Though there’s one thing that I can’t skip and it is my morning coffee, it is the only way I can feel fully awake. When I want something light and quick then smoothie is one of the options. Depending on how hungry I am, I either have only fruits or sometimes add a little oat to make it more filling. Don’t underestimate smoothie, they will give you the energy you need!

I love cocktails, but mornings may not be the best time for having them. Luckily some of the cocktails like classic Piña Colada can be turned into a delicious smoothie. All you need to do is remove Bacardi  and add something else, maybe extra cup of pineapple juice? Or even a cup of coconut milk, if you want something extra tropical.

Some of the ingredients are optional as it depends on your taste. If the fruits aren’t sweet then you might want to add 1 or 2 tablespoon honey or sugar. Also it is safe to say you can change milk with yogurt as well, depending on the consistency you like, it might be best to add a little bit of liquid.

Why don’t you come up with your own smoothie? All you need to do is pick your fruits/vegetables, then add yogurt/milk and just blend it, it is that simple. Just make sure to keep some frozen fruits in the freezer, it will help you cool down in summer or after a workout.
