Don’t you hate it when you have plans and your skin ends up breaking down? It seems to happen a lot when there’s something important coming up, that’s why it is best to have at least one foundation which you can rely on. Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation claims to cover any skin problem, it is a big claim isn’t it?

Whenever season changes or I have stressful time, I have skin problems. I am sure it happens to many of us. Even the best skincare products can’t seem to help with this problem straight away. Then the best thing we can do it rely on makeup to achieve the flawless skin, right?

I’ve had Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation* for months, however due to picking the wrong shade, I couldn’t use it until I got some tan. Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation claims to give long lasting full coverage, does it live upto its claims?

It definitely gives full coverage and It will cover the blemishes and any imperfections, it will cover anything. What else can you ask from a foundation? It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, especially the ones who don’t like full coverage foundations. You only need a tiny amount to work with and good thing is texture doesn’t feel heavy. I use damp beauty blender to apply this foundation, I think it gives better flawless finish than the brush, also with the blender it is easier to control how much you apply.

Even though it claims to last 12 hours and 16 hours with the setting powder, due to my oily skin, I feel like I need to powder after 5-6 hours(doesn’t really look shiny, more on dewey side), it is still good as most of the time after a few hours my makeup just melts.

One of the things I think needs improvement is the colour range. There are 8 shades in the range and if you are in between shade then you won’t be happy with the colour range. Also, bare in mind that it has spf35 so if you get your photo taken then there will probably be flashback. No to ghost face, please! Also it might not be the best foundation to use in summer as in time it will feel heavy.

I love translucent powders, because they give flawless and non-cakey finish. Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder* is specially made for Vichy Dermablend Corrective foundation. Apparently it will improve the longevity of the foundation and I can confirm that it actually does. It also works with my other foundations, so it is a win win for me! This setting powder is lightweight and has really fine particles, so you won’t get that powdery finish. You can easily overdo it with this powder, so if you ever apply more than you should, wait a few minutes for it to set, then use a big powder brush to get rid of excessive powder.

Have you tried any products from Vichy Dermablend range? What’s your favourite high coverage foundation?
